THE FEARLESS FAMILY ZONE. BRINGING FAMILIES TOGETHER through a HOCKEY activation.

Healthcare companies are looking for ways to connect with their members on a wellness basis. Blue Cross Blue Shield activated a sponsorship with the Buffalo Sabres where they could engage Western New York’s enthusiastic hockey fanbases thru interactive displays.

CREATE A PERSONALIZED TRADING CARD.

I designed an experience that allowed fans to make their own hockey trading card. The card featured the fan’s name, position of their choosing and was branded BCBS Live Fearless.

We wrapped a high visibility escalator staircase with youth hockey portraits to entice fans to participate in the BCBS Fearless Family Zone .

The engagement tied in with the brand’s national “Live Fearless” campaign. We created powerful hockey portraits of youth hockey players in New York “getting their gameface on”.

The area featured a combine, photo booths with hockey props and a video testimonial booth fans shared their favorite hockey moments that they were able to send to their friends and family. The experience faithfully brought the BCBS brand to life.

YEAR TWO

After a successful year one launch, the experience was brought back and enhanced.

THE FEARLESS FAN CAPSULE

Where fans create video recordings of themselves sharing their favorite Sabres motions.

They received a video email that they could easily share with friends and family on social media.
